Relationship Managers
By now you have noticed that our focus is on you! Here at PPS you will have one main point of contact, your Relationship Manager. You can count on your Relationship Manager to assist you with loans, distributions, QDRO’s, year-end preparation, and much more. Your Relationship Manager is also available for your day-to-day questions. If they don’t know the answer or if the question is geared toward a different department (such as a technical compliance question) or investment company, they will connect you with the correct person. Each of our Relationship Managers has contacts with all the major investment companies and we are confident you will find them to be a valuable resource.
Plan Consultants
Our Plan Consultants are professionals that are focused on completing the administration and compliance testing of your plan. They are highly trained professionals that work to ensure your plan is accurate, and operating in conjunction with your plan document and within the myriad regulations of the Internal Revenue Service and Department of Labor. They are engaged in the actual reconciliation of participant accounts, completion of the required forms pertinent to your plan, and a host of other functions. They are always available for technical questions about your plan administration, at no additional cost.
Technical Reviewers
At PPS we want you to be confident that when your plan is delivered to you it is accurate. To ensure its accuracy we have established a formal review process for each plan. This review process is modeled after the methods used at most large CPA firms. Once a Plan Administrator has completed a plan, it is sent to one of our experienced Reviewers to be examined in great detail. These Reviewers are trained to look for the most difficult issues that could arise. They review all plan transactions, assumptions, pertinent regulations, and look for any facts that may be missing or issues that may not have been apparent when the administration was completed. They play a very important role in our office to ensure accuracy, a role which is very underutilized on bundled platforms and with many other third party administrators.
Final Reviewers
After a plan has been reviewed for technical issues, the final step is for a Senior Level Manager to look over the final project. This individual applies any special knowledge they may have of applicable regulations or of the specific account. Their role also includes reading the administration letter to make sure all necessary items have been addressed for the client.
Compliance Specialists
This position requires a specialized set of skills and years of experience. The job of a Compliance Specialist is to create legal plan documents, create amendments, provide regulatory guidance and answer technical questions for both members of our staff, CPA’s, and our clients. Plan design consulting requires an understanding of the clients desired operation of the plan and determining if such design can be accomplished within the regulatory constraints of the law. In addition to the above responsibilities this position also closely follows the most recent regulatory and legal changes to ensure that our clients documents are incorporating any pertinent changes as well as taking advantage of changes that could have a positive affect on their plan but may not be legally required.
